We always recommend to apply load and supports through elastic loading (support) plates (maybe except some special situations). Then, the load or support can be defined in a single point (or several points for larger structures), and it is very easy to define monitoring points to track the external forces in points with force loads and reactions at supports and points loaded with prescribed displacements.

Sir,
Is there any other way to calculate the total load of the columnn in 3D. What i have done is i manually sum all the reaction from each nodes, where the maximum stress occurs. This is quite time consuming especially if I have small mesh.
Please advice
