The values are recorded for the node/integration point closest to the Monitoring Point position. To monitor stress or strain in a reinforcement bar, it is recommened to place the monitoring point at the bar, or at least as close as possible.

I'm doing a test with ATENA 3D. I have a question about Monitoring Points.

Actually, I want to do a test with Reinforcement bars, and I would like to know, if a have to put the Monitoring Points (MP) in the same coordinates where I have my reinforcement bar, or for example I can put a MP under the bar or over?
