Dear Sir,

I am using ATENA 3D v5. I am interested in developing a model of a prestressed concrete girder. The parameters I am using to compare the analytical model with the experimental test results include "transfer length", "cable force" and, "crack widths" and cracking pattern.

I am trying different bond models. For now, I am focused on the CEB FIB 1990 bond model. I understand that the bond strength is a function of the concrete strength, confinement and quality of the bond.

I am interested in knowing how the bond "stress" is calculated.

I am seeing variations in bond stress along the length of the strands, and I would like to understand why they happen. I understand that some may correspond with the transverse reinforcement positions. However, the variations are not all consistent with the positions of the transverse reinforcement.

Thank you,

Roya
