Topic: Warnings during RUN

Hi there,
I am working with ATENA 3D v4 to simulate the punching shear failure of two-way slabs, during the anlysis,I always got the information"(*)    Warning: Sign of diagonal changed when reducing equation: 1858, (node: 4005, dof_id: 1); value : 143050
(*)    Warning: Loss of at least 7 digits in reducing diagonal of equation: 1859, (node: 4005, dof_id: 2); value: 298687
But the calculation is continue.I don't know why. So,I think I need your help.

Many thanks in advance
Lisa

Re: Warnings during RUN

Dear Lisa, please see ATENA Troubleshooting, 2.4.6 Floating point problems - Division by zero, Loss of >7 digits on the matrix diagonal, CCFEModelExc: CCPardiso solver error: zero pivot,  Warning: Sign of diagonal changed when reducing equation, Floating point exception: Multiple floating points traps, Zero or negative jacobian,  InvertA: zero determinant, CCMaterials Extended AExc: CC5ParamYield F: project_stress_on_f_division by zero, and similar (the document is included in ATENA installation and also available for separate download from our web under Products - ATENA - Documentation) for basic related information. If you still can not identify the problem source, you can send us your model etc. (Troubleshooting, 2.1.1).

I would also recommend updating to a current version (V4 is obsolete for some time already).

Regards.
