I assume you are using ATENA 3D. Please make sure you are not using volume elements for the thin layer (use shells).
Have you changed the number of decimal digits in Genaral data - Analysis information - Global? With the default setting of 4, a layer of 1mm should not produce such error messages. Are you not trying to include two FRP layers in a single macroelement? Then, the double surface between them should give an error like this.

while adding 1mm thick frp sheet at the bottom of a beam, it gives an error that the points are colinear...is it the limitation of ATENA or so other error..plz reply.
