Dear s.al-deen, please note in ATENA v5, the examples are installed into the Common Documents directory (they should remain accessible through the same menu Start - Cervenka Consulting - ATENA Science - Examples). However, we can of course send you the .gid model if you write us to the general support address (cervenka@).
Dear dpryl
I don't have the example file in the folder. I have updated to ATENA 5.1.2 from ATENA 4 and there are no example files for ATENA 5. It will be nice to have the BridgePierHydration.gid file and have a look.
Hello, it is not clear from your question if you have already looked at the example from the ATENA Science Example Manual, 3.2 Heat and Moisture Transport Analysis incl. Hydration (BridgePierHydration.gid, installed in the Science/GiD/Tutorial Temperature2D directory)?
You may also wish to read section 8.3 Specific Transport Boundary Conditions of the ATENA-GiD User's Manual.
Hi,
I have a rectangular concrete cross-section (itβs a 2D problem). The top of the cross-section is exposed to atmosphere and moisture in concrete can evaporate from this side. The other three sides are completely sealed (no moisture evaporation). I am trying to calculate strain in the concrete due to resulting non-uniform shrinkage.
Any suggestion what type of boundary conditions I can use in ATENA transport ?
