Hello, for unbonded cables, choose "external cable". For bonded bars (and also bonded cables), choose reinforcement bar with "perfect bond" (if slips are not expected to play an important role) or define the corresponding bond law.

Moreover, the message about slips is just an information message, however, if it occurs unexpectedly early in your analysis, it typically means your bond parameters are not correct. If you set the bond strength to 0 instead of using external cable, you can also get this message.

hello:
I have got a problem about the modelling of an unboneded tendon within continuous beam in engineering Atena 3D. Which bar model should I choose, the reinforcement or the  external cable ?
Is there any necessary to build the model of anchors at two ends? I have chosen the reinforcement
model and defined the relationship of the bond-slip.But something wrong occured in the proceeding of running like this:
(slips in group id: 807927815, name: Truss elements(segments=1) for Bar 7)

I am looking forword to your reply! Thanks
