Hello,

I am trying to re-create the results of the following research paper that modelled a pull-out test in ATENA 3D. I modelled the geometry as described in the paper, alongside applying the provided parameters for the materials, mesh types and boundary conditions. My problem is that my bond stress vs. slip curve is not matching the papers. My slip is constantly hitting peak stress at least a full mm before it should. I am monitoring both displacements and reactions at the node where the displacement step is being prescribed. This node is at an elastic macro-element as recommended in the troubleshooting manual for pull-out tests.

I suspect that a potential reason for this issue is that I have not used the reinforcement option "Bar with Bond", however the paper never provided a bond law so I assumed they simply did not turn that option on. Any suggestions for potential solutions are appreciated.

Thank you!
