Hello vishesh.srivastava0612,

The 1D reinforcement material can be assigned to line segments only. If you modelled the bamboo as a volume, you need to use some 3D material model. If you do not expect any failure to occur in the bamboo rod during the pull-out test, you can start with the linear elastic material.

I guess this webinar might be informative for your case:

Hope this helps.

I am trying to model pull-out test of bamboo embedded in Geopolymer concrete. I have tried modelling bamboo as a cuboid and then I used 1Dreinforcement to assign the material for cuboidal volume. But it's not recognizing the bamboo specimen, there is no deformation also in GPC, which should be there since the bamboo is pulled. (I have referred ATENA troubleshooting manual and ATENA tutorial to model pullout test in ATENA and I have got good results with steel bars but It's not the same with bamboo). Kindly Help!
