Topic: ELEMENT TYPE

Dear Sir,
I AM WORKING ON ATENA V 5.0.3, I WANT TO MODEL BEAM USING Plane Quadrilateral Elements WITH NODES MORE THAN 4 NODES i.e (CCIsoQuad<xxxxxxxxx>) (9 NODES ) BUT I CANNOT FIND THEM.
HOW CAN I FIND THESE Plane Quadrilateral Elements?

Re: ELEMENT TYPE

Dear Samuelhanna93, it is not clear from your question if you work with ATENA Engineering (2D/3D), or ATENA Science (GiD)?

If you are using ATENA Engineering 2D, please select the element type in Macroelement properties. If you prepare your model in GiD, please set the mesh type to Quadratic.

Re: ELEMENT TYPE

I am working with ATENA Engineering (2D)
I already selected the element type (quadrilaterals) and tried the following quadrilateral elements
1-CCIsoQuad
2-CCQ10
3-CCQ10SBeta
all of them have four nodes element

Re: ELEMENT TYPE

Dear Sir,
ATENA Engineering (2D), unfortunately can not mesh quadratic elements (nodes 9).

If you want to have more accurate results, you can use a fine mesh.

or you can use ATENA Science.
