Why does the bearing capacity of the test beam with the consideration of bonding decrease by 20 percent compared with that without the consideration of bonding

Hi, indeed if you consider the bond, depending on the bond stress, you may recover a lower load carrying capacity and structural response. This is quite natural and will depend on the maximal bond strength that you define in the reinforcement bond properties. Regards jan
